Pinned Golf: five engineers of work, one engineer needed.

01the brief

Pinned Golf had a working solo scorekeeping app and a bigger ambition: a social product, where rounds, scores, and friends connect. Getting there the conventional way meant a bigger engineering team than the business could carry.

02what we did

App and fullstack development with AI automation threaded through the engineering process. This is what we mean by AI-augmented development: a small senior team using AI tooling to cover ground that used to take a room of engineers, with the same review discipline a bigger team would apply.

03the outcome

The solo scorekeeping app became a social one, and the engineering need dropped from five engineers to one. The payroll line that did not get created is the ROI.
