Nestwell: a $30K budget, $1.2M+ raised after shipping.

01the brief

Nestwell is a healthtech startup that came to us pre-product with a $30K budget: enough to build the right thing once, and no room to build the wrong thing first. They needed a technical partner who could carry the whole zero to one, not a vendor waiting on a spec.

02what we did

Insomnia Club served as fractional CTO across product design and engineering. That meant owning the technical decisions a founding CTO would own: what to build first, what to defer, and how to spend a five-figure budget so it reads like a seven-figure product in an investor meeting. Working software shipped every two weeks, in the founders' hands.

03the outcome

After shipping, Nestwell raised more than $1.2M. Stanford invested. Erica Wenger invested. The product built on a $30K budget became the proof that raised forty times that.
